Rossi

Mark J. Rossi, 66, Duncansville, was called to his heavenly home on Friday at UPMC Passavant, surrounded by his family and special friends. He was born in Hollidaysburg, a son of the late James V. Rossi and Helene B. (Bungo) Rossi.

He married Lucy Boston on June 28, 1986, in Hollidaysburg.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy, who was the love of his life and best friend; his daughters, Katrina Cope of New Cumberland, Pa., and Serena Rossi of Duncansville. He is also survived by his brother, Stephen Rossi, of West Grove, Pa.; a sister, Cynthia Sovich of Raleigh, N.C.; many nephews, nieces and cousins; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law.

Jimmy, a special brother, preceded him in death.

Mark was a well-known, talented piano player, singer and songwriter who performed locally and in other cities and states throughout his musical career. He had many supportive special friends who loved him and loved to hear him play.

He graduated from Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School in 1978 and excelled in football and other sports while there. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

One of his greatest enjoyments in life was walking along the beach at night holding his wife’s hand. He also loved summer nights sitting on the backyard swing with his family and enjoying a cold beer and a shot of Jameson Whiskey.

At Mark’s request, there will not be a funeral service. He would have loved for anyone who knew him to celebrate his life from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Unter Uns in Altoona, 1401 Van Buren Ave., Altoona.

Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
