Kenneth L. Kumpf

Kenneth L. Kumpf, 70, Altoona, passed away May 19, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Kenneth C. Rhodes and Betty G. Stahl.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorenda S. Vaughn; and his brother, Ron Stahl.
Surviving are his wife, Mary E. (Johnson) Kumpf; children, Kenneth Kumpf Jr. and wife, Mary, and Lindsay Nash and husband, Zack; grandchildren: Landon and Christian Kumpf, Airalyn McElhinney and Caleb Kennedy; a brother, Barry Kumpf; special nieces: Autumn Miller, Amber McClellan and Erica Crownover; and many other nieces and nephews.
Kenneth retired in December 2015, after 40 years as an electrician for Norfolk Southern and 30 years as an officer for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 118 Rosehill Cemetery Drive, Altoona, with Pastor Eli Hess officiant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 408 N. Sixth St., Altoona, PA 16601.
