Kenneth Bailey, 92, Altoona, formerly of Patton, passed away Tuesday at Van Zandt VA Medical Center. Ken was born in Patton, son of the late Fred and Melena (Ramey) Bailey.
On July 24, 1954, he married Rose Marie Litzinger, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia M. (Greg) Gonyea and Tammy J. (Jeffrey) Stoltz, both of Patton; a son, Kenneth R. Bailey of Johnstown; eight grandchildren: Jason
Larkin, Tonya Sherry, Phillip Larkin, Jeff Stoltz, Jamie Krupka, Justin Stoltz, Natalie Bailey and Kenneth Bailey; 14 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bob Mackall in Florida; and sister-in-law, Jane Nagle of Carrolltown.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, Reese Bailey and Don Bailey; and three sisters: Woody Mackall, Dorothy Lawson and Betty Lanoy.
Ken was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He retired from the Federal Government, where he taught missile systems at Redstone Arsenal. He was also the owner of Ken’s TV in Patton.
Ken enjoyed woodworking, restoring cars and teaching roller skating dance lessons.
He was a member of Patton Trinity Methodist Church.
He was past president of Patton Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Patton Borough Council and helped to design the Veteran’s Wall in Patton.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton; and from 10 until an 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the funeral home by Elder Dwight Ashbaugh. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery Patton with Military Honors.
