Kathryn Elaine (Long) Stoltz

She married Charles Samuel Stoltz on Aug. 11, 1952. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 2005.

Surviving are sons: Samuel Charles and his wife, Cheryl, of Bradenton Fla.; Randy Keith and his wife, Shirley, of Martinsburg; Gregory Dale of Penhook, Va.; daughter, Cheryl Ann Dykstra of Duncansville; grandchildren: Vincent Knapp, Somer Robertson, Samantha Biggs (Will), Ryan Stoltz (Alyssa), Jay Stoltz (Beth), Joanna Johnson (Scott), Dwight Rhodes (Jennifer) and Amber Rhodes (Jeremy King); great-grandchildren: Phinnless Knapp, Teagan Biggs, Parker and Madyn Stoltz, Claire Johnson, Logan Stabile (Amelia), Chloe and Kenley Rhodes, Jace and Elsie King; great-great-grandchildren: Oliver, Oaklynn, Bentley and Toby Stabile. Also surviving are sisters, Marlene Acker of Somerset and Nina Kay Stoltz (Kenneth) of Blue Knob.

She was preceded in death by brothers: Elton, Marvin and Duane; and a sister, Clarice Brubaker.

She was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, Class of 1951.

Kathryn was an accomplished seamstress, completing work from simple dress hems to creating beautiful quilts and wedding gowns. She was always available to help her husband with all of his mechanical projects and was always willing to babysit her grand and great-grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Three of the great-granddaughters have her first name for their middle name, which shows the love her grandchildren have for her.

Holiday and Sunday meals were enjoyed by all who attended because she was an excellent cook.

Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- and great-great-grandmother who always gave her love and all that she had to her family.

A service with the family was held on May 6, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Altoona, with interment at Alto-Reste Park.
