Joanne Lingenfelter, 94, a resident of Homewood Living, formerly of Sproul, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona, and is now back in the arms of her husband, Keith, whom she missed dearly. She was born in Sproul, daughter of the late Grant and Peg (Miller) Davis.
On Oct. 22, 1949, in Cumberland, Md., she was united in marriage to her husband, Keith. They shared 73 years of marriage until his passing in 2023.
Surviving are her children: Jeff (Clydene), Christine Bulger (Don), Amy Clowson (Denny) and Missy Miller (Pete); grandchildren: Angie Markley (Steve), Liz Dell (Justin), Kristy Schenck (Travis), Brent Clowson (Summer), Andrew Bulger (Emily) Michael Clowson, Jordan Treese (Tiffany), Jenna Bulger, Olivia Fiorilli (Mark), Keith Clowson and Ethan Miller (Alexis); great-grandchildren: Bryce Walter (Samantha), Jennica, Wesley, Trenten, Olivia, Kendall, Camille, Veda, Anthony, Nolan, Addison, Rosalyn, Lincoln, Laken, Enzo, Santino, Noah and a great-grandson on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; her sister, Pauline McDonald; and her brother, William “Fip” Davis.
Joanne raised her children, took care of her home and was always willing to help out with the grandkids. She loved to sing to them as she rocked them to sleep. She was an excellent cook and baker. She worked part time as postmaster at the Sproul Post Office and volunteered for many years at the Nason Hospital snack bar.
She was a member of the Sproul Ladies Aid, and enjoyed a good game of bingo.
More than anything, Joanne dearly loved her family. She especially cherished time with her grandkids.
Joanne was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Claysburg.

Friends will be received from 10 until the funeral service at noon on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Harry E. Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 810 Bedford St., Claysburg, with the Rev. Marty Jo Irvin Stellabotte officiating. Interment will be at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Claysburg Area Public Library, P.O. Box 189, Claysburg, PA 16625.
