Jeanette M. Yingling, 84, of Altoona, died early Sunday afternoon at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Nelson R. and Dorothy I. (Ostrander) Edmundson.
She married Roy P. Yingling in 1988 in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are her husband, Roy; two children: son, Dennis W. Scott (Melody) of Pittsburgh; and daughter, Jill M. Ralston (George) of Altoona; two grandsons, Zachary T. Ralston and Ian C. Ralston (Brianna), both of Altoona; a great-grandson, Oliver; a sister, Judy K. Thomas of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.
Jeanette was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, George Thomas.
Mrs. Yingling was a member of Second Avenue Global Methodist Church, Altoona, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was a 1959 graduate of Altoona High School.
Jeanette loved spending time with her family, sister, grandchildren and great-grandson, Oliver, who was the light of her life.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Brian Sandell officiating.
Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park.
