Doris J. Brenneman

On April 14, 1955, she married Richard G. Brenneman, who preceded her in death.

Doris is survived by her two sons, Thomas R. Brenneman (Anita) and Michael C. Brenneman, both of Altoona; four grandchildren: Jennifer Murphy, Samantha Brenneman, Thomas R. Brenneman Jr. and Christine David; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: August Grannis Jr., Thomas Grannis, Edwin Grannis, John Grannis and Mary Lou Gates.

Doris was a graduate of Philipsburg High School. She retired from Broad Avenue Pharmacy as a pharmacy clerk.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and sang with the choir.

Doris enjoyed her various card club groups and being a member of the Red Hat Society, but she ultimately loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. with Father James Dugan.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
