Deborah L. Dickson, 69, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday afternoon at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert Stoner and Carol (McCall) Newberry.
Deborah married David L. Dickson on Oct. 23, 1999, in Hollidaysburg.
She is survived by her loving husband; a son, Gregory Pencinger-Dickson (Casey) of Gatesburg; three daughters: Amber Ickes (Shaun) of Altoona, Tracey Dickson (Ryan) of Lilly and Angela Dickson of Altoona; eight grandchildren: Brandon, Bradley, David, Logan, Marley, Chevy, Aubrey and Owen, who lovingly referred to her as their Mammy and MiMi. Deborah is also survived by her four siblings, all of Altoona: Billy Newberry, Kevin Stoner, Vicki Lynn and Becky Seasoltz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Macy and Holly.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy McKinney.
Deborah was a 1975 graduate of Altoona Area High School and had been a line operator at the Carpenter Co. with 15 years of service.
She liked listening to her ’70s music, trips to Las Vegas and visiting amusement parks, but Deborah ultimately loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Eli Hess officiating. Interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
