Alma G. Finch, 77, of Tipton, died Monday afternoon at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late George A. Sr. and Lorna (Riley) Woomer.
On Feb. 7, 1976, she married Robert O. Finch in Altoona.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Wade T. of Swansboro, N.C.; three grandchildren: Alexa, Xavier and Abigale; and a great-granddaughter, Melina.
She was preceded in death by siblings: George Jr., Patrick and Dennis Woomer and Suzanne Stehley.
Alma was a 1966 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and retired as a mail center clerk at New Pig in Tipton.
She was a member of Hillside Community Church, where she volunteered with church meals and helped with sorting of the church funds.
Alma enjoyed fishing and traveling, but her greatest joy was precious time spent with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Hillside Community Church, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with Pastor Ken Beichler officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in Alma’s memory be made to Hillside Community Church, Bellwood.
