Alex J. Walter, 35, of Altoona, passed away May 24, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Altoona, the son of Faith (Bowers) Walter and the late Robert Walter.
Alex married Casandra Burick on Feb. 29, 2016.
He is survived by his mother, Faith, of Altoona; his loving wife, Cassie; and three children: Noazayiah Walter, Breeaunna Shelow and Jeremiah Duvall, all of Altoona. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Lucas (Dakota), Sadie, Korttnee, Nova, Feeya and Bella; a great-niece, Aurora; and great-nephews, Greyson and Ashton.
Alex was preceded in death by his brother, Robert A. Walter; and nephew, Robbie T. Walter.
He was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and went on to receive his bachelor's degree in machine tool communications technology from Thaddeus Stevens School in Lancaster.
Alex had been a member of The Well of Blair County.
He enjoyed riding his dirt bikes and motorcycles, but loved spending time with his family and dogs, Abe and Tipsy.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at The Well of Blair County, 605 Burns Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor John Godissart.
Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
