Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Ronald Patton, 89, a resident of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Tyrone, passed away Tuesday. Ron was born in Tyrone, the son of Robert and Belva Patton.
He married Nancy Prough on June 16, 1962.
Ron is survived by his wife; daughters, Michele and Marsha; sons, Greg (Karen) and Tom (Gia); nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Ron is also survived by a sister, Elsie Luther of Canton, Ohio; a brother, Gerry (Sher) of Tyrone; and eight nieces and nephews.
Ron was a veteran of the United States Army.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992, having spent the majority of his career at the Tyrone Post Office.
Ron was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Tyrone.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
Friends will be received from 9:30 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, May 2, 2026, Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., 115 W. 10th St., Tyrone, with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ron’s memory to the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
