Louis J. “Louie” Page, 71, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Josephine (Minielli) Page.
He is survived by a son, Justin Page in Florida; and a daughter, Julie Sharbaugh (Troy) of Hollidaysburg; two granddaughters, Paige and Emmie Sharbaugh; and a brother, Mark Page (Angel) of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joey and Jerry Page.
Louie was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and retired from Conrail.
Louie was an avid sports fan, especially of Penn State, and was rarely seen without a hat from one of his many favorite teams. He was known for his funny catchphrases, loved to laugh and joke around, and never passed up an opportunity to make a sports prediction or try his luck playing the lottery.
He was a good-hearted person who appreciated the simple things in life, such as taking care of his property and watering his flowers. Above all, nothing was more important to him than his family. No conversation ever ended without an “I love you.”
Over the past year, his toughness was inspirational, and it will never be forgotten. He will be dearly missed.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, with Monsignor Stanley Carson.
Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
