Kenneth C. ‘Ken’ Flaig

Kenneth C. “Ken” Flaig, 86, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday, at Cedarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Tyrone. He was born in Williamsburg, a son of the late C. Kenneth and Bernadine (Sparr) Flaig.

He is survived by a grandson, Travis Flaig; two sisters, Linda Kipple, widow of Charles, of Altoona and Carol Himes, widow of Robert, of Williamsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Flaig.

In high school, Ken participated in sports and really enjoyed playing basketball. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1957.

Following graduation, he held a long career with New Enterprise Stone and Lime as a material engineer. He later retired from U.S. Envelope in Williamsburg, where he worked as a security guard.

Watching college athletics and westerns were always his favorite, along with the March Madness tournament and the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

Private interment will be held at Royer Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Williamsburg.
