Kathy E. Hunter

Kathy E. Hunter, 76, Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William H. II and Kathryn V. (David) Hunter.
Surviving are a daughter, Machelle (Yingling) Schraeder, and husband, Doug, of Mechanicsburg; a son, David Michael Yingling, and wife, Diane, of Boalsburg; a daughter, Jennifer K. Lynn of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren: Meghan Schraeder, Daniel Schraeder and Anne Yingling; brother, William H. Hunter III, and wife, Marsha; and nephews and niece: Adam Hunter, Sara Hunter and Matthew Hunter.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow at noon. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests planting trees, flowering shrubs or a garden while thinking of her.
