Douglas Alan ‘Buzz’ Becker

Buzz graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1982. He was never married and had no children, but he was loved.

Buzz was preceded in death by his stepfather, Raymond G. Lantz; three brothers: Paul, John and Raymond “Stormy” Becker.

Buzz is survived by his brother, Richard, and wife, Cherie, of Altoona; his sister, Sherry, and husband, Charles Lingenfelter, of Claysburg; and his brother, Jeffrey, and wife, Regina, with whom he resided in Panama City, Fla.; and a special cousin, Vickie Evans, who always checked in on him. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and countless friends in Altoona, Buffalo, N.Y., and Florida.

He enjoyed family vacations to the beach or hunting camps, even though he didn’t swim or hunt.

Doug marched to the beat of his own drum. He had a heart of gold, and left this world as quietly as he entered it. He will be missed by those that knew and loved him dearly.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no formal viewing or funeral. A celebration of life will be held in Altoona in June 2026.
