Doris Inez Holt

Doris Inez Holt, 86, Altoona, passed away April 17, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. She was born in Cleburne, Texas, daughter of the late John D. Sain and Lois O’Davis.
She is survived by children: Dana Maddox in Tennessee, Barton Maddox and wife, Silvia, of Altoona and Thomas Maddox in Tennessee; stepson, Glenn Stanley, and wife, Angelea in Texas; and siblings: William Perry Moore in New Mexico, William Ira Moore in Texas and Alta Faye Apantenco in Texas. Doris was also cherished by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garvis Holt; a son, Johnny Maddox; and eight siblings.
Doris lived a simple and meaningful life, marked by her deep love and devotion. She found great joy in praying for others, a testament to her caring and compassionate spirit.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona.
