David C. Blake Sr.

David C. Blake Sr., 86, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at The Winds at Mattern Orchard, Duncansville. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Collins R. and Dorothy (Hilty) Blake.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Gentry); and two aunts, Audrey and Margaret Blake.
Surviving are his two sons, David Jr. and his wife, Lori, and Geoffrey and his wife, Letricia Blake. Also surviving are two stepsisters, Marjorie Crawford and Nancy Grannis.
David was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked as a service manager over the years with B.F. Goodrich, Mountain Tire and H&H Tire.
He was a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aid Society and a former president of the Altoona Jaycees.
Dave enjoyed old cars, fishing and photography. He was an avid baseball and basketball player, and coached area youth and teener baseball teams.
The family has chosen to celebrate David’s life privately at a later date.
