Charles E. Yon

Charles E. Yon, 69, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Charles and Mary (Moyer) Yon. He married Nancy Stotler Smith in 2000. Surviving are his wife of 26 years; a daughter, Amy Whaley; siblings: Steve and Lori; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Chuck graduated from Somerset High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He retired as a boat tech. Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting and model airplanes. There will be no services at this time. Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
