Amy (Smithmyer) Casale

Amy is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 19 years, Jerry Casale Jr.; and their son, Michael, age 3. She is also survived by her loving parents, James and Louise Smithmyer of Loretto; her siblings, Ann Smithmyer (Rich McKnight) of Indiana, Pa., and Andrew Smithmyer (Jennifer) of York Haven; her cherished niece and nephews; and her lifelong friends: Bridget, Megan and Erin.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026, at King’s Funeral Home, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.

A Blessing Service will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Ursula Church, 3945 Kirk Ave., Allison Park.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2026, at St. Michael’s Basilica, 321 St. Mary St., Loretto.

In honor of Amy’s lifelong commitment to effort and perseverance, a scholarship will be established in her name at St. Michael’s School in Loretto. Each year, it will be awarded to a child who demonstrates the greatest effort.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael’s School, 301 St. Elizabeth St., Loretto, PA 15940.
