William G. Ambrose

William G. Ambrose, 84, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Lynn E. and Mary J. Houck Ambrose.
Bill served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was a 50-plus-year Past Master of Logan Lodge 490, Altoona.
Bill was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Greensburg.
His greatest joy in life was his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James W. Ambrose; and two brothers, Lynn K. and James H. Ambrose.
Bill is survived by his wife, Janet R. Wilson Ambrose; a daughter, Jennifer (Charles) Luffy, of Greensburg; and two grandchildren, Brady A. and Jamie M. Luffy.
Family and friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Barnhart Funeral Home, Greensburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 501 Fairfield Drive, Greensburg.
