William E. Hoefler

Surviving are his wife, Patsy Hoefler (Shea) of Altoona; three sons: Michael, Alex and Christopher; a grandson, Jayden; a sister, Stephaine Scheeler, and husband, Max; a nephew, Max II, and his wife, Jaime, and their family; and niece, Vanessa Marietti, and her husband, Matt, and family; a brother, Jeffery, and his wife, Sondra, with nieces: Amy Hall and family and Kelly Gnoet and her husband, Derek, and family.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecelia LaHive and Rita Hoefler Martinez.

Bill was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.

He was an avid pool player and played in a tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. He enjoyed music, watching football and baseball, socializing and always had a smile for everyone.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service with Military Honors will immediately follow at noon.

Private interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
