Suzanne G. Stehley
April 22, 1944 – March 23, 2026
Suzanne G. Stehley, 81, formerly of Bellwood, died early Monday morning at Embassy of Hearthside, State College. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late George A. and Lorna (Riley) Woomer.
She married Dale A. Stehley Sr. on Sept. 9, 1963, at Altoona First Church of the Brethren. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Surviving are three children: son, Dale A. Stehley II (Felicia) of Bellefonte; daughter, Dawn M. Mills (Mark) of Tipton; and son, Patrick G. Stehley (Pam) of Pittsburgh; four grand-children: Ciara Stehley, Caelan Mills, Daman Mills and Eliza Stehley; and a sister, Alma “Almie” Finch (Robert “Tennessee” “Bob”) of Tipton.
Suzanne was preceded in death by three brothers: George Woomer Jr., Patrick Woomer and Dennis Woomer.
Mrs. Stehley was a life member of Altoona First Church of the Brethren, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was a 1962 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School.
Suzanne enjoyed sewing and reading.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at Altoona First Church of the Brethren, 510 Fifth St., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Koontz officiating. Interment will be made at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
