Ronald L. Lockard Sr., 76, of Altoona, passed away Friday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Martha (Richards) Shaffer.
He married Carol Muir in 1976.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years; three daughters: Sherry Stacey and husband, Jeffrey, Patricia Walters, Letricia Blake and husband, Geoff; two sons, Ronald Jr. and Doug and wife, Natalie; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and siblings, Rhonda Lockard and Roxanne Hillegas.
Ron graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1968 and retired as a mechanic.
He loved watching wrestling and listening to music.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m.
