John R. Winklbauer

John R. Winklbauer, 86, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late John and Anna (Kunsman) Winklbauer.
He married Ruth Ann Angelo in 1965.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years; and a daughter, Cheryl Winklbauer.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark, in 2018.
John graduated from Altoona High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Navy.
He retired from the Pennsylvania State Police after 35 years as a trooper.
John was a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society.
He enjoyed reading and watching sports.
There will be no public funeral services.
Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
Private interment at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
