Helen Francetta (Koons) Bradley, 91, of Mifflinville, passed away at Regional Hospice in Danbury, Conn., on Feb. 25, 2026, after a short illness. She was surrounded by her family in her final days.
Helen was born in Cresson, the daughter of Robert Koons and Gretta (Cornelius) Koons and seventh of what would become 11 children.
She was a 1953 graduate of Cresson High School.
Helen married Gordon Bradley on Sept. 16, 1953, and they were married for the next 67 years until his passing on March 15, 2020. During their marriage, Helen and Gordon lived in Erie, Montvale, N.J., Sun Prairie, Wis., and Trumbull, Conn., raising three children along the way.
Helen worked various jobs over the years but found a home in the 1980s working at Vitramon Inc. in Monroe, Conn., where she rose to the position of production supervisor, retiring in 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Thompson (Steve); her sons, Gordon Bradley (Sabine) and Ken (Wendy). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Justin, Jessica, Magen, Morgan, Geoffrey, Katie and Joey; as well as her great-grandchildren: Jordan, Greyson, Reeve, Parker, Mia, William and Juliette.
Helen enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She valued her family above all else. She also enjoyed crafting, listening to music (especially Engelbert Humperdinck), watching Dancing with the Stars and decorating her homes.
She was well known for her sense of humor and caring personality. Helen was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends and family will be received from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service Saturday, March 21, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park.
