Douglas R. Brown, 63, Sproul, passed away Thursday at UPMC-Altoona.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of Ruth (Way) Brown and the late Homer Brown.
Surviving are his wife, Cheri E. Morgan; children: Douglas, Trista (Matt), Ashley (Timothy), Cody, Cameron and Conner (Emily); seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter on the way; his mother; sisters, Linda Kaye Claycomb (Jeff) and Cathy Burkett (Dave); a brother, Earl (Amanda); his really good friend, Dave Lingenfelter; and many nieces and nephews.
He attended Claysburg-Kimmel High School and retired as a fuel delivery driver from Barnes Petroleum after 15 years of service. He was a member of Journey Church, Hollidaysburg.
Doug was a member of Mosquito Creek, Cresson, and Smokey Run Sportsman’s Clubs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting — especially coyotes — riding side by side and four wheelers, camping and just being outdoors. He loved taking care of Cameron and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 31, 2026, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the funeral home, Pastor Jeremiah Baker officiating. Interment will be at Sproul Cemetery.
