Dorothy Mae “Dottie” (Gregg) Edmundson, 90, formerly of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Wednesday of natural causes at her home in Sarasota, Fla. Born in Wilmington, Del., Dottie was the beloved daughter of the late George Beatty and Ethel (Wall-Beatty) Crawford.
Dottie was a very devoted and loving wife who now joins her late husband, Frank Edmundson, in Heaven. They were married on May 13, 1977.
She was preceded in death by her firstborn daughter, Karen L. (Gregg) Smith Mengle.
Dottie is survived by her late husband’s children; and by her daughter, Sheryl Gregg, who was also her sole caregiver under the additional care of hospice.
Dottie found great joy in singing southern gospel music with her husband as they traveled to various churches to perform, and enjoyed Bible studies. Additionally, Dottie had a passion for bowling and participated in many local leagues with her husband.
In accordance with her wishes, there were no services held.
