Dorothy J. (Pankhurst) Weichel, 91, of Duncansville, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Midland, Mich., daughter of the late John and Lillian (Cook) Pankhurst.
She married Donald H. Weichel, who preceded her in death in 1979.
Surviving are her two daughters, Denise Badorrek, and husband, Heinz, of Hollidaysburg and Diane Jackson and husband, Mike, of Duncansville; two sons, David in Montana and Darryl of Duncansville; four grandchildren: Joshua, Daina, Michelle and Sarah; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Colleen Henry; and a brother, Jerry Pankhurst.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald K. Weichel in 2025; and two siblings, John and Elsie.
Dorothy was a homemaker, who raised her five children and helped raise her grandchildren.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Ingram officiating.
Private interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
