Carl Edward "Eddie" Basore Jr., 77, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday. He was born in Bedford, son of the late Carl Edward Basore Sr. and Betty (Hite) Wilson.
He was united in marriage to the former Gail Russell at Everett Grace Brethren Church on Dec. 14, 1985.
In addition to his beloved wife of 40 years, he is survived by his sister, Barb Sheirer, of Lititz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Basore; and his beloved German shepherd companions: Shadow, Bear and Chance.
Ed was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1967. After high school, he attended West Virginia University to study accounting before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force from 1970-74.
Ed devoted 43 years of his career to Wolf Furniture, where he worked as a furniture purchaser until his retirement in 2015.
He was a man of Christian faith.
At Ed's request, there will be no public services.
Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
