Barbara A. Sheehan

Barbara married the love of her life, Robert F. “Bob” Sheehan, on Aug. 20, 1966, and they shared 50 wonderful years together before his passing on Dec. 22, 2016.

A graduate of Tyrone High School, Barbara was dedicated to her career as a clerk and retired from the Blair County Courthouse.

She was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hollidaysburg, where she actively participated in the quilting ministry, Stitch and Sew.

Barbara enjoyed playing cards, solving puzzle books and taking casino trips. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her cherished family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her loving children: daughter, Leslie Gibson (Chris); and sons, William Sheehan (Kristie) and Timothy Sheehan (Carey). She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Kathleen Sheehan, Beth Sheehan (Hunter Mowels), Amy Sheehan (Logan Rodney), Jacob Gibson (Jenna) and Rachel Ferko (Shane); and three great-grandchildren: Aiden Sheehan, Euriah Tussey and Maggie Gibson. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Linda Keller (Jack) and Darlene Bohn (Jack); along with many caring nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Sheehan; and her brother, William Pease.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. A private interment will be held at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
