She has been cared for at home since May 1991 by her family and a wonderful team of caregivers.

Tammy loved to go camping and was able to do a lot of traveling, including attending Coca-Cola conventions with her parents, where she made many lifelong friendships. She especially enjoyed going to Disney World in Florida and going out to eat with family and friends. She was very active at the Salem Reformed Church and with Camp Living Waters, Schellsburg, and was an avid supporter of the local Humane Societies. She enjoyed making crafts for kids for many years, and would assemble crafting kits with her mother, Dorcas. Together, they would package them in envelopes and give them to the children at church and encourage them to put the craft together with their parents.
