Sandra Lee (Thomas) Weyandt, 83, of Claysburg, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2026. She was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Herbert Thomas and Gladys (Piper) Miller. On Dec. 15, 1961, she married Charles B. “Benny” Weyandt in Cross Keys; he preceded her in death on July 29, 2017.
Surviving her are three sons: Charles “Little Ben” and wife, Marlene, of Duncansville; Barry and wife, Cindy, of Claysburg; and Kevin and fiancee, Kristin, of Claysburg; five grandchildren: Sheena, Sabrina, Shyanne (David), Skylar and Cody; eight great-grandchildren: Zayveon, Shanda, Bryson, Sienna, Mason, Carter, Isaac and Jaxon; her best friend/cousin, Carole Weyandt (Bobby); and her teacup companion, Weinie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by twin daughters, Selena Marie and Shannon Marie; sisters, Darlene (Thomas) Frank and Melva Jean (Miller) Marshall; stepparents, Melvin Miller and Mary Jane Thomas; and great-granddaughter, Shylin Floyd.
Sandy was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and looked forward to their reunions every couple years. She was a lifetime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Claysburg. She had various jobs over the years, including: LaFink Hotel, Dave’s Dream as a carhop, Boyer Candy, Shoe factories, Prius Poultry, Gabriel Brothers and Homestead Nursing. She also huckstered and sold Avon and Sarah Coventry. Most of her years were spent as a notary at her husband’s business, B&S Used Cars, from which she retired.
Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who never met a stranger and would give her last anything without question. She was the most kindhearted woman you would ever meet and idolized her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed word search puzzles, car rides with Carole, supper at Peggy’s Diner, phone calls with Linda Weyant and the dirt track races. There was rarely a Friday or Saturday night that you wouldn’t catch her at the speedway to support her “88” Family.
Friends will be received from 2 until the 7 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 480 Emmanuel Drive, Claysburg, with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating.
