Maebelle (Saltsgiver) Mallery, 88, of Duncansville, passed away Monday at home. She was born in Glen White, daughter of the late Clifford and Helen (McMullen) Saltsgiver.
She married Elwood L. Mallery Sr. in 1953. He preceded her in death in 2020 after sharing 67 years of marriage.
Surviving are four daughters: Karen Glass of Altoona, Sharon Ratliff in Arizona, Jennifer Cole in North Carolina, and Kristen Mallery of Duncansville; three sons: Jeffrey in Thailand, Bud in Virginia and Joseph of Altoona; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three sisters: Kathy Kustaborder, Linda Garman and Robin Saltsgiver; and five brothers: Floyd, Clifford "Jim," Timothy, Ross and Edgar Saltsgiver.
She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Elwood Jr.; two grandsons, Woody III and Joseph; and two sisters, Patricia and Marlene.
Maebelle graduated from the Altoona School of Commerce with an AS in Business.
She retired as the owner and operator of Maebelle's Draperies of Altoona.
Maebelle was a dedicated Christian.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Matthew Hornberger officiating.
Private interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
