Karen M. Balsley

She was united in marriage to David Balsley in Rockville, Md.

Along with her husband, she is survived by children, Megan (David), Ryann (Jason) and Amanda; grandchildren: Michael (Alyssa), Marisah, Carter, Brendan, Kerrigan and Landyn; great-grandchild, Ilera; and siblings: Barbara, Mary Beth and John.

Karen was a devoted mother and grandmother who brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met. She worked as a cafeteria worker at Baker Elementary School, where she cared for generations of students.

Karen enjoyed shopping, working in her yard and gardening, but above all, she cherished her children and especially her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at a later date.
