Elwood L. "Lenny" Walter Jr., 73, of Claysburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Elwood L. Sr. and Harriet J. (Henry) Walter.
Surviving are siblings: Edna "Jeannie" Markle (Butch) of Beaverdale, Charlie L. Walter (Linda) of Hollidaysburg, Richard L. Walter of Sproul and Tina L. Walter of East Freedom; his family by heart: Flitch, Sara and Indy Claycomb, and Taylor Smith (Daniel); and his lifelong best friend, Larry "Pork" Sell.
Lenny was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg. He enjoyed racing, Curve baseball, going to auctions and traveling.
Lenny loved life and brought joy to everyone around him.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 480 Emmanuel Drive, Claysburg, PA 16625, with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to his church.
