Clair Ellis ‘Duke’ Downs

Clair Ellis “Duke” Downs, 82, of Fallentimber, died Wednesday. He was born in Coalport, son of the late Charles and Sylvia (Gates) Downs. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Bouch; and siblings: Nancy Lidwell, Gary and Ken. Surviving are his wife, Irene; daughters, Billie Jo Downs and Elizabeth Zaffuto; grandchildren: Daniel Zaffuto, Matthew Sanders and Madison Downs; and siblings: Charles, Bob, John, Dave, Rick and Earl Downs and Ellen Ibberson. A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
