Teresa L. "Terri" Weakland, 68, of Altoona, died late Tuesday evening at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of Arline (Grimminger) Leberfinger and the late Robert Leberfinger.
She married Henry "Pete" Weakland on July 9, 1977, in Altoona.
Surviving is her husband, Pete; her two children, Travis (Shawnelle) of Tyrone and Danielle Rimbeck (Michael) of Altoona; two grandsons, Dylan of Tyrone and Evan of Altoona; her mother, Arline Leberfinger; and siblings: Robert Leberfinger of Lancaster, Roberta Murphy of Altoona and Michelle Leberfinger of Altoona.
Terri was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bob" Leberfinger; niece, Annastasia Leberfinger; and nephew, Michael Leberfinger.
Mrs. Weakland was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona.
She was a 1975 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
She was an active member of the Unter Uns Musical Society (board member), a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Food
Pantry and a trustee for the board of GBU District 45.
Terri retired as a CNA/restorative aide at Valley View Nursing Home with more than 30 years of service.
Terri enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and watching Penn State Nittany Lion football.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 416 Sixth Ave., Altoona, with the Rev. Nelson Javier TOR, celebrant.
