Suzanne E. Hatch, 88, of Bellwood, passed away unexpectedly at her home on New Year's Eve with family at her side. She was born in Altoona to the late James and Katharyne (Sell) Boland.
She is survived by her children: Eileen Williams (Gary), Randy Hatch (Judy) and Dave Hatch (Sherry); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Edwin "Ned" Hatch; their beloved son, John Hatch; and her four older sisters: Shirley Carter, Donna Broyles, Nancy Mills and Kitty Carles.
Sue lived simply, but loved deeply, always putting God first. Whether she was gardening or doing puzzles, her Chihuahua, Snoopy, could always be found by her side. She was the happiest when surrounded by family, especially during her annual Christmas in July party.
A celebration of Suzanne's life gathering will take place on a later date. Arrangements are by Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., Altoona.
In lieu of sending flowers, please plant one in memory of her this spring.
Donations made to your local food bank; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, TN 38105, would also make her smile.
"As we enter this New Year, we carry their love with us into a new day, filled with the gratitude for the time we shared."
