Ricky A. Fogal Sr., 71, of Altoona, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Harry and Eva (Elliot) Fogal.
He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara "Penny" Brown in 1972.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years; a daughter, Tiffany Becher and husband, Joe; a son, Ricky Jr. and wife, Dana; six grandchildren: Christopher, Megan, Katie, Hannah, Isabel and Ricky III; five great-grandchildren, who were the joy of his life: Eli, Emri, Mila, Emma and Easton; a brother, William and wife, Pam; a brother-in-law, Rick Askey and wife, Kathy; a sister-in-law, Deborah; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry.
Ricky was a 1972 graduate of Altoona Area High School and retired from the PA Department of Agriculture as a supervisor of weight and measures.
He was a member of the Swiss Club in Altoona and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, gambling and working.
There will be no public services at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
