Marian F. ‘Mimi’ (Wertz) Bumann

Marian F. “Mimi” (Wertz) Bumann, 92, of Shirley, Mass., formerly of Altoona, passed away Jan. 22, 2026. Marian was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Fay (Swope) Wertz. She resided 35 years in Bedford, Mass., where she raised her 10 children. In 2003, she relocated to Carlsbad, Calif., where she resided for 10 years before returning to Massachusetts. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Church, 14 Phoenix St., Shirley, MA 01464. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Homes Inc., 25 Fitchburg Road, Ayer, Mass.
