Larry D. Benton

Larry D. Benton, 78, of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday at home. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Leland H. and Jackie (Wertz) Benton. His wife, Sharon (Claar) Benton, preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Scott Benton (Kathie); grandchildren, Brandon and Alexis; siblings: Beverly Crist (Wayne), Bonita College, Cheryl Gill, Ora Jo Dicken (Brad), Carla Benton and Donald Benton; brother-in-law, Terry Claar (Anita); and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was a U.S. Army veteran. Friends will be received from 3 until the 7 p.m. funeral service Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
