Judy A. Matko

Feb. 15, 1973 – Jan. 13, 2026

Judy A. Matko, 82, passed away peacefully on Jan. 13 in Ankeny, Iowa. Judy was born to Charles and Rosaleen Kingston.

She grew up in Flinton with her three sisters: Rosalie (Kenny) Stallard, Harriet (Jack) Knight and Sandra (Tommy) Hotzclaw; and one brother, Kevin (Sherry) Kingston.

On Oct. 31, 1964, she was united in marriage to Charles Matko at St. Basil Catholic Church in Coalport.

She was an amazing wife, mother and friend. She adored her grandson, Matthew, and granddaughter, Emma. She leaves behind daughters, Sandra (Paul) Cocanougher and Karen (Bert) Braud.

She worked so hard to continue the business she started with her late husband until her retirement. She will be most remembered as very loving, generous and having an unyielding faith in God. Judy was vibrant, friendly and connected with people easily with her laughter and smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Matko, in 1993; parents, Charles and Rosaleen; her sister,

Sandra Hotzclaw; and son-in-law Paul Cocanougher.

There will be a private family service. Her remains will be buried at Beaver Valley Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
