Joanna Lynn (King) Marsh

She was born in Roaring Spring. On Sept. 11, 1965, she married Donald E Marsh.

Surviving are her daughters, Lisa M. Marsh of New York City and Wendie Marsh Harrison of Bethesda, Md; grandchildren: Lillian Marsh Mangan, Christian Marsh Harrison and Daniel Marsh Mangan; a nephew, John King; a niece, Amanda King Tafuto; and many other close friends and family members. Also surviving is her companion, Edward Brothers of York.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005; her brother, William, in 1999; and her parents, John Arthur in 1983 and Alma (Bowser) King in 1996.

She received an associate’s degree from Penn State University and attended Camden County College and Rutgers University. Joanna, known as “Josie” to her oldest friends, was retired from several jobs in accounts payable, real estate and food service. She filled her days with her passions: reading mysteries, socializing with her various women’s groups, traveling and visiting with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to your local library or The Salvation Army.
