Janet M. (Longenecker) Karlie

She married Terry G. Karlie in 1972.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years; a daughter, Tabitha Rhodes; three sons: Troy, Terry and John; nine grandchildren: Tawny, Draven, Kaiden, Gavin, Kali, Keanu, Dalton, Cullen and Corey; a great-grandson, Royce; a sister, Bonnie Neil; and three brothers: Harry, Greg and Jim Longenecker.

She was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Smola, in 2024.

Janet was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School and was a homemaker.

She was the matriarch of her family and spent her life taking care of her husband and family.

Janet enjoyed crafting, sewing and going to the casino with her husband. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her.

Friends will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m.

Private interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
