James H. Bowser Sr.

James H. Bowser Sr., 87, of Altoona, peacefully passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Mearl and Lilly (Sleek) Bowser.
James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, whose presence brought warmth to those who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline (Williams) Bowser; his sons, James Bowser Jr. (Christine) and Rob Bowser; and his eight cherished grandchildren: Lily,
Matthew, Robby, Katie, Stacy, Christy, Nicole and Richard Jr., who brought him great pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Glunt; and a granddaughter, Christy Glunt.
Jim deeply enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an avid attendee of car shows and loved being outdoors, especially enjoying hunting. He also had a deep love for music and found great joy in playing his guitars, often sharing that passion with those around him.
A celebration of James’s life will be held in the spring with family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
