Iva M. Forshey

She was married to A.D. Forshey in 1955. He preceded her in death in 2021.

Surviving are her beloved family: a daughter, Deana, with her husband and their precious children in Virginia; and a son, Kirk, with his wife and their great sons and spouses of Bellwood; and six precious great-grandchildren.

Iva was an elementary school teacher, a published writer and artist. She most especially enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.

Friends will be received from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Grace Bible Church, 164 Laurel Lane, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Lou Hileman officiating.

Arrangements are by Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in memory of Iva please be made to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, 19344 Innes Market Road, Bend, Oregon 97701.
