Genevieve J. Berardinelli

She was born in Export, daughter of the late George and Mary (Milan) Hanacik. On April 24,1946, she married Guido Berardinelli at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Export. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2012.

She is survived by a grandson, Frank A. Filkosky; a granddaughter, Sabrina L. (Joshua) Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Frank Filkosky; a great-grandson, Everett Henderson; and eight siblings: Mary, Louise, Frank, Louis, Andy, George, Helen and Millie.

She was a 1943 graduate of Export High School and worked for the Altoona Area School District as a clerk before retiring in 1985. She enjoyed volunteering at Garvey Manor and was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
