Dorothy M. ‘Dottie’ Cherry
Dorothy M. “Dottie” Cherry, 87, of Antis Township, died Wednesday at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John N. and Dorothy M. (Sharpless) Cassidy.
On May 17, 1958, she married Allen L. Cherry in Altoona.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Cathleen L. (Richard) Dillen of Antis Township and Lea Ann (Randy) Musser of Williamsburg; three grandchildren: Richard Dillen Jr., Amber Mountz and Nicole DeFurio; and four great-grandchildren.
Dottie was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, refinishing furniture and painting. Dottie was also a self-taught piano player.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jason Mauk officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
