Dorothy J. ‘Dottie’ Long

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Barbara Craig, Nancy Stouffer and Donald Long.

Dottie was a 1962 graduate of Allegany High School, Cumberland, Md., and went on to receive her master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Maryland. She then was involved with Teach for America and spent two years teaching chemistry in the intercity schools of Washington, D.C. Dottie relocated to Williamsburg and was the home economics and life sciences teacher until her retirement.

She was an active member of her community, and was fondly remembered for her greeting cards that were sent to many friends and family over the years.

There will be no public services. Arrangements by the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg.
