Carl R. Hedberg Sr., 88, of Altoona, passed away at his home Jan. 10, 2026. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Carl Nils Eric and Helen May (Clabaugh) Hedberg. Surviving are his devoted wife of 56 years, Sharon; sons, Carl Jr. and Chris, both of Altoona; daughters, Kimberly Custer and Erica Hedberg Quinn; as well as numerous
loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings: David, Thomas and Kathryn. Carl served in the U.S. Navy. At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.
